Midwife

Ray Rachlin (she/they) is a Licensed Midwife, Certified Professional Midwife, Certified Lactation Counselor, and a member of the Queer and Transgender Midwife Association

My road to midwifery may have begun when I was caught by a midwife in a New York hospital, but the seed was planted after I attended my first home birth as a doula in New York City…

Meet Our Team

Ari Eisen

Administrative Assistant

Ari (she/they) is a queer, full-spectrum doula with a background in art and passion for research that motivates me to offer individualized evidence-based birth education and compassionate, holistic support for birthing parents. Before I started training as a birthworker, I was a working artist and artist’s assistant. I see many connections to the creative process and the act of “mothering”: both are grounded in creation, care, reflection and cultivating growth through a labor of love.

When I’m not attending births, doing admin for Refuge Midwifery, or working as a nanny, I like to work on creative projects, hike, practice yoga, and host dinner parties with my partner. You can find me doula-ing at www.hearth-doula.com

Natasha Vita

Natasha Vita (she/they) is a student midwife training to become a Certified Professional Midwife. Natasha began her training in 2019 in Santa Fe Midwifery and preceptor Elena Stauss, and in 2021 moved to Austin Texas to apprentice at a high volume birth center.
